The Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults is grounded in scientific research and a commitment to evidence-based practices. Over the course of nearly 10 years, we developed and refined our curriculum, culminating in a groundbreaking randomized, controlled trial. Our study, published in the prestigious Journal of American College Health, became the most downloaded article in 2014.
This landmark trial established MIEA (formerly known as Koru Mindfulness) as the first and foremost evidence-based mindfulness curriculum for emerging adults. The results were remarkable: students reported increased calmness, improved restfulness, enhanced self-compassion, and greater mindfulness.
